What Does The Bible Says About Remarriage After Divorce
There is only one condition given in the bible for Remarriage after divorce.
Matthew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
The only option available is, you with remarry the person you have put away, or you remain unmarried for life.
That seals the answer for those who are asking what does God say about divorce, thinking they can separate from their partners, and marry any other person they want.
This makes everyone understands that God expects us to be married to only one person till death comes.
The Bibles View On Divorce And Separation
Jehovah expects those who are married to remain faithful to the marriage vow. When uniting the first man and woman in marriage, Jehovah stated: A man . . . will stick to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Later, Jesus Christ repeated that statement and added: Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart. Hence, Jehovah and Jesus view marriage as a lifelong bond that ends only when one partner dies. Since marriage is a sacred arrangement, divorce is not to be taken lightly. In fact, Jehovah hates divorces that have no Scriptural basis.Malachi 2:15, 16.
What forms a Scriptural basis for divorce? Well, Jehovah hates adultery and sexual immorality. Indeed, he finds sexual immorality so despicable that he allows it as grounds for divorce. Jehovah grants the innocent mate the right to decide whether to remain with the guilty partner or to seek a divorce. Hence, if an innocent mate decides to seek a divorce, that one does not take a step that Jehovah hates. At the same time, however, the Christian congregation does not encourage anyone to seek a divorce. In fact, some circumstances may move the innocent mate to remain with the guilty one, especially if that one is genuinely repentant. In the end, though, those who have a Scriptural basis for divorce must make their own decision and accept whatever consequences it may bring.Galatians 6:5.

Gods Children Live Forever
But what is most interesting is what Jesus said about divorce.
Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection and they asked him, saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a mans brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage but are as the angels which are in heaven. And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Abuse Often Necessitates Separation
We have now come to the most common objection to what the Bible teaches about divorce. What does Scripture teach us about emotional, physical, or other forms of abuse in a marriage?
Under inspiration, the apostle Paul describes Gods attitude to those who abuse others:
It is Gods will that you should be sanctifiedno one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.

Can Christians Get Divorce
Divorce is a no go area for Christians.
Who has the authority to separate them?
Look at what the bible say
It is saddening, and a huge mockery against the church, when Christians married, and the next thing you hear is that they are seeking for divorce.
You will begin to wonder, what happens to the oath they made at the altar, and before God?
Obviously, they dont know the implications of the oath.
What messages are they trying to pass across to unbelievers who do not see any reason why they should follow Gods instructions on marriage?
The questions goes on and on, but the bottom line is, to say the least, God is not happy at all when Christians seek for divorce.
He wants others to see the scriptures being fulfilled through us, so that they can be attracted to him.
What does God say about divorce to his children, and to those who are not?
He is saying the same thing, he hates it, and he does not want anyone to destroy what he has done.
Many people lack the knowledge of the reasons for marriage, and even why they are in one.
Such people quickly opt for divorce at the slightest opportunity, without exploring the options available to make the marriage hold.

What Does The Bible Say About Separation
The Bible doesnt directly address the modern concept of separation, in which two people are legally married but live apart. Often, separation is the result of problems in a marriage and mimics divorce or is the first step toward it. Bible scholars and pastors dont agree on whether or not a separation is an option for a Christian couple.
An example of a scholar who opposes the concept of separation:The Word of God provide for sanction separation apart from the dissolution of the marriage bond But there is no such provision for mere separation. The divine institution is that those united in the bond of marriage are bound to the mutual discharge of all marital debts until the bond is severed by death or by dissolution on a proper ground.
An example of a pastor who allows for a separation:In general, separations should occur only as a last resort. But there are times when ones life, children, or sanity are involved, and the seemingly prudent thing to do is to allow for a temporary separation with the hope expressed that the guilty party will repent of his/her actions and the marriage will be saved.

Jesus Teaches That Divorce And Remarriage Results In Adulterous Relationships
Jesus puts it starkly in Luke 16:18 and Mark 10:11-12 in a way that covers both husbands and wives who divorce their spouses:
Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.
This Separation Is To The Lord Himself
Compare verses 3 and 8. This separation is not isolation â see what Psalm 4:3 says! It is not separation to a cause, a church, a denomination or a creed it is separation to the Lord Himself. We get an illustration of this in Acts 13:2 : The Holy Spirit said, Separate Me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them These two servants of God were setting out on a great missionary journey, and were to separate themselves to that one task but before they separated themselves to the task they were to be separated to the Holy Spirit. In other words, it was separation to the Lord, and then separation to the task â look up 2 Corinthians 8:5.

The Apostle Paul Allowed Divorce For Abandonment
1 Corinthians 7:14-15
For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband for otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. Yet if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances God has called us to live in peace.
Ephesians : 32 Forgiveness In Marriage
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you.
~ Ephesians 4:32
Paul specifically instructs Christians to be polite. The emphasis is not solely on general usefulness.
Paul is explicitly considering compassion for the congregations fellow believers.
Believers should be recognized for their kindness rather than their harshness. The story of the Good Samaritan depicts Christs example of living with compassion for others.

The Kind Of Lust Jesus Is Talking About Reflects A Mindset Where A Person May Not Be Involved In Physical Sexual Relationships But They Mentally Live In That World
But what about an in-depth, life-altering addiction to pornography?
The women who met with the elder group reviewed the following facts with the elders as they sought the support of the elders for divorce:
- Their husbands would not accept help from professionals and/or stay with it.
- Their husbands would not respond to accountability from them or the leaders of the church.
- Their husbands behaviorspringing from the addictionwas very dysfunctional, including their unwillingness to have normal sexual relations with their spouse.
- The behavior was long standing.
The elders made the decision to support these women in their belief that this repeated behavior was the equivalent to the sexual immorality Jesus had in mind when he declared it to be grounds for divorce. I believe they made the right decision.

What Parents Need To Know About Children Of Divorce
Kids and divorce is a complex subject and there are no easy answers. However, its imperative for parents to learn that they play a pivotal role in minimizing the trauma kids experience when their parents separate or divorce. Here are a few tips that might help:
- Most kids will initially go into a form of denial when their parents separate. They believe, this is temporary, my parents will get back together. Even years later many kids still dream about their parents reuniting, which is one reason why they resist a parents remarriage.
- Allow the child time to grieve. Children are unable to communicate grief in the same manner as adults. Therefore, they may be sad, angry, frustrated or depressed but can not express it.
- Do not lie. In an age appropriate manner, and without gory details, tell the truth. The number one reason kids blame themselves for their parents divorce is because they were not told the truth.
- When a parent belittles, bashes, or criticizes the other parent it can emotionally destroy a childs self worth. If dad is a no-good loser, I must be one too. If mom is a tramp, thats what Ill become.
- The children who do the best after a divorce are those who have a strong relationship with both biological parents. Therefore, do not withhold visitation unless the child is being neglected or in danger.
If Jesus Ever Abandons The Church Then Divorce May Occur
The church is the bride of Christ. If Christ ever abandons the church, then divorce may occur.
Ephesians 5:22-32 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church for we are members of his body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery but I am talking about Christ and the church.
Revelation 19:7-9 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear. Then the angel said to me, Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb! And he added, These are the true words of God.

The Bibles Teachings On Marriage And Divorce Should Not Be Imposed On Non
Gods teachings are the best for everyone. But Christians are not to impose these teachings on non-believers. At the same time, the local church is to uphold Gods teaching and provide accountability for his teaching for those who make up the local church.
In 1 Corinthians 5, the apostle Paul explains how this accountability works in the church. From his letter to the Corinthians, we come to understand that there was a couple in the church living in sexual immorality . He chastises the people in the church for not being concerned about the couples behavior. Instead of being concerned, they were actually proud of their acceptance of the behavior.
A Few Unhealthy Options
Weve covered the healthy options available to us when it comes to separation. There are also quite a few terrible ones. Separations that happen as retribution or as a hasty reaction out of anger, for example, are never good ideas.
Trial separations, in which both parties are sort of testing the waters of the single life to see if its something they would prefer to marriage, dont line up with a Biblical approach to marriage either. Theyre not a good separation in marriage Bible answer!!!
But the worst one to me is when couples separate because they feel pressured from a counselor, or from friends and family, and not because its what they actually believe will help them.

The 3 Grounds For Divorce In The Bible
A divorce may be initiated for different reasons, including the following:
- A husband or wife has committed adultery
So while God hates divorce, he does offer permission when remaining married is harmful.
Anytime one of these sinful acts has been committed, the one-flesh union between a husband and wife becomes violated.
Regardless Of Peoples Past We Should Welcome Them Into Our Churches
We cannot unscramble scrambled eggs. Here is what I mean: Many people have divorced and remarried without knowing or being committed to the teachings of Jesus. God wants us to meet them where they are and help them understand and obey his teachings.
In Scripture we find that people came to Jesus and the church from various kinds of issues. The apostle Paul described samples of those lifestyles, including those who came from backgrounds where people had been entrenched in sexual immorality, adultery, and homosexual behavior. Consider the words of the apostle Paul:
Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
